After months I finally arrived to Chef Meidad Stavinski's Ahan Thai restaurant.
I personally really like Thai food so it was clear to me that I would come to try. We arrived and sat in a cozy place by the window (highly recommended to ask for this seat if sitting inside, and if there is no place then sit outside) and started looking at the menu.
The prices are very affordable, the dishes are traditional Thai dishes. Just be prepared, everything is spicy, very spicy.
We started with Som Tam Thai (44 NIS), Som Tam of papaya, tomato, peanuts and beans. Papaya salad is the tastiest thing in the world, in any restaurant where this dish exists I will always order, it was yam! #yammmmm

Along with the Som Tam Thai also came Crispy Chicken Skin (15 NIS), a kind of crispy snack for dipping inside the Som Tam. Very cute. #yammmmm

Nam Tok Noa (68 NIS), chunks of beef roasted in a salad of herbs with shallots, chili, "kao koa", lime, and palm sugar. In fact, this is a beef salad that I have not yet taste like until today. The beef chunks were a bit large for me, maybe a smaller cut would have worked out better for me, but it's a delicious dish, no doubt. #yammmmm

Sok Lek (68 NIS), an Asian tartare of nice chunks of beef chopped in a salad of herbs with shallots, chili, "kao koa", lime, and palm sugar. Seasoning is the same as the previous dish only here we have beef tartare, a tartare dish that in other Thai restaurants I was less able to connect to, but here it got exactly the flavors I was missing. I mean, not only the spicy but also the intriguing Thai flavors that I love. #yammmmm

Noa Dat Dayo (48 NIS), chunks of salted, dried and fried beef. Two simple skewers but full of flavor. Each gets the juicy and the soft taste despite its crispiness. Yam. #yammmmm

Gang Home Soup (NIS 68), chicken pieces "on the bone" in a vintage. Wow what a special soup. On the one hand it is fresh, on the other hand every taste of it ends with a stunning spicy taste. #yammmmm

A special of Salmon Sashimi also arrived at the table in a spicy, refreshing salad combined with the mint flavors that were on the plate. Asian-Thai flavors that blended wonderfully with the freshness and softness of the fish. #yammmmm

Guy Young Isan (68 NIS), slow and smoked chicken thigh. A very tempting dish that comes with browned roast on the outside and softness of the chicken on the inside. Dip in the spicy dip of the dish and get another spicy to the palate. Tasty. #yammmmm

Pad Cha Pela (88 NIS), chunks of fish, basil Thai, chili, karachi, vegetables and herbs. Served with steamed rice. Wow what a dish. We waited for a curry dish to arrive. Every time some dish with an intriguing sauce came out of the kitchen we were already waiting our turn. And I can say for sure, without tasting the other curry dishes, this is the best one. Soft chunks of fish with a stunning curry and each bite comes with the rice. Yam. #yammmmm

There were 2 desserts. Sticky rice with pineapple and Kanum Pudding. The Sticky Rice with the pineapple reminded me of nice tapioca flavors, and it was sweet and fresh. #yammmmm

The Kanum Pudding did not work for me in any way. Too much coconut, I did not feel anything other than coconut and it completely did not work between us. So I went back to the pineapple dessert. #yammmmm

For me there is a new Thai in my Thai priorities. Already waiting for next time.
It's a #yammmmm
