Taizu | Indian Evening

Here we go again to the Indian evening in Taizu (held every Sunday evening), an evening I have experienced so many times but always hungry for more. In general, this is a restaurant that I really like to visit also during other days of the week. I was even once in a Pakistani evening, just to illustrate how much I want to taste everything that happens in this restaurant.


So after expressing my love for the restaurant, we can start talking about what that happening in Taizu on the Indian evening which is (again) important evening for every foodie in the Israel. Daddy and I arrived at the restaurant hungry, sat down in anticipation and looked at the menu. But in fact we just made ourselves like we are interested, because we knew there was no other way to pass this evening other than ordering a delicious Tally meal. So, we made the waiter's life very easy, because we made the sale at our table within 2 quickly seconds.


A Tally meal is structured so that we experience a huge amount of dishes, sharing everything, enjoying everything, and in the end we are too blown away to relate to the price.


The meal can be ordered as a regular tasting meal (completely worth it in itself) at a cost of 275 NIS, or order a more extended meal (especially in the main dishes) at a cost of 320 NIS. We went for the extended meal (we also ate the regular one in the past, and as I mentioned it is more than enough for enjoying the restaurant).


So now, after all the explanations, I will start to elaborate the madness that went on at our table (could vary from meal to meal, there were additional dishes, I will detailing the majority).

Sea Fish Tartar, with pani poori, coriander, and mango chutney. The winning dish in the starters section. Drizzle a little of the sauce of the dish into the pani poori, put everything in one bite in your mouth, and relish. Delicious. #yammmmm

Vaday with urad dal, coriander, green chili, and sambar. Crispy on the outside, comes with a stunning sauce to dipped in, and so we have special flavors in our mouth that will be very difficult to explain how delicious it is in words. A dish that is very easy to like and connect to, because who doesn't like crispy flavor in his food? #yammmmm

Stuffed Paratha, with paneer, caramelized onions, raita, and radishes. This round continues to shell out. We take the paratha, place all the ingredients on it, and give a perfect bite, and then another one. #yammmmm

Pot Stickers, with paneer, peas, carrots, potatoes, and nuts. I hope you will believe me, but I just tasted another great dish, amazing. As with the rest of the dishes, the beauty is the combination of each piece with the rest of the ingredients in the dish that creates a perfect bite in the mouth. #yammmmm

We moved to the next level with a Malai Kofta, with potatoes, paneer, turmeric, cashew, and raisins. A good dish, but in the meantime in relation to everything we have gone through up to this point, it is considered as cute. #yammmmm

Batata Vada, with curry leaves, pau, pickles lemon aioli, and Kashmir chili powder. When you look at the dish, it looks wow. But, it's not only looks wow. Who does not like a delicious sandwich, and if it comes in a bite or a few small bites, it's even better. Undoubtedly a dish whose flavors are special, and this is just a sweet potato. #yammmmm

Sea bass Korma, with turmeric, Uzbek apricot, buffalo yogurt, and roasted pistachio. Cute dish, no room for mistakes in fish that was made well, delicious sauce and good rice. Relative to everything we have been through so far, this is a delicious dish without a doubt, but not by the standards of everything we have seen since the beginning of the meal. #yammmmm

We got to the main dishes with a Tikka Masala Lamb Skewer, with yogurt, caramelized onions, and paratha. It must be said that the meat dishes in Taizu are in a very high standard. The meat is very soft, well made and unusually tasty. So, also in this dish we experience this fact. Especially when preparing a bite of paratha, with the meat and herbs. #yammmmm

We continued with Vindaloo with chuck meat, paratha, sour cream, cilantro mint, and red onion. All the beautiful things I wrote about Taizu's meat dishes also apply to this dish. But, in this dish it is even excessive, the meat is so good that it melts in your mouth. It is difficult to decide if you want to eat it straight from the bowl or still roll it in the paratha and the rest of the ingredients. After all, both options are highly recommended. Delicious. #yammmmm

Lamb Zucchini with lamb, pistachio, macadamia nuts, and coconut milk. A dish that I was less attached to, overall cute flavors but less flowed to me with all the delicious dishes I have eaten so far. #yammmmm

We finished the meal with the Black Forest dessert, with black forest, coconut cream, chocolate mousse, berries, and matcha powder. A vegan dessert, which solves a lot of problems for a lot of people, and not only because it is vegan, but because in my opinion it is also the most delicious dessert in the restaurant (from my experience). No doubt there has been tough competition in getting this title, but I stand behind it for sure. This is how it is when you are served a dessert that include a lot of special textures. When you combine all the ingredients on the plate on the spoon, it is a dream to finish every meal with it. #yammmmm

We finished the meal with the Black Forest dessert, with black forest, coconut cream, chocolate mousse, berries, and matcha powder. A vegan dessert, which solves a lot of problems for a lot of people, and not only because it is vegan, but because in my opinion it is also the most delicious dessert in the restaurant (from my experience). No doubt there has been tough competition in getting this title, but I stand behind it for sure. This is how it is when you are served a dessert that include a lot of special textures.
